ALC-Headshot-2-OptimizedArthur Catalanello formed an independent marketing consultancy in 2009 to area ad agencies, companies, small businesses and organizations for marketing, marketing research, email marketing and social media.  Arthur Catalanello Consulting is based on the principles of experience, independence and affordability.

Arthur rejoined Harvey Research, Inc. in 2010 as Vice President and Senior Research Officer, resuming his previous responsibilities for helping B2B and consumer publications prove “Return on Investment” (ROI) to their advertisers by demonstrating advertising effectiveness.

Arthur Catalanello became Social Media Strategist for The August Group shortly after joining the volunteer-based organization in 2009.  Responsible for content and strategy, Arthur created the Twitter, Facebook and Google+ accounts for the group and co-manages the LinkedIn Group.  The use of social media has increased awareness of The August Group, resulting in increased membership and an increased corporate participation rate at the June 2010 and December 2011 Career Fairs.  Additionally, Arthur was interviewed by WHEC-10 for their “Rochester in Focus” community affairs program in January 2010.

Arthur completed a short-term contract with Xerox Global Services North America in 2010 as an Interactive Marketing Specialist.  During his contract, he managed a LinkedIn Group for Sustainability Thought Leadership Summit attendees, produced video blogs that shared best practices throughout North America, started development on personas and produced Brainshark presentations for internal training and external promotions.

Prior to XGS, Arthur spent 18 years at Harvey Research, Inc. conducting marketing research on behalf of consumer and business/trade publications.  Starting as an Advertising Research Editor and rising to Vice President in 2001, Arthur managed over 4,800 advertising effectiveness research projects for domestic and international clients, including Time Magazine, The Economist, American Lawyer Media publications and Reed Business Information publications.  He was instrumental in helping the company move to a digital methodology which reduced deliverables time by 50% and cut costs by 30%.

He earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Communications from Ithaca College.  In addition to his work with The August Group, Arthur is a volunteer with the Ad Council of Rochester.  He resides in Fairport, NY with his wife and children.
